Classes are available upon request.  Our standard classes are listed below; please give us a call and let us know of your interest in any of these, and we should be able to make arrangements!

Tools required for all beading classes: round nose pliers, pointy chain nose pliers and good cutters. We have a pretty good selection at the shop.  Classes must be paid for in advance unless other arrangements are made.

Beginning Beading: 2 to 3 hours
$45
Store Staff

Learn how to string beads and make a pair of earrings – we will cover the basics of putting together a bracelet using common materials (Beadalon, Softflex, crimps etc.) and also make a pair of earrings. You will learn how to make it happen! All materials included.

Basic Earring Workshop: 1 hour
$20
Catherine Phillips

Learn how to make basic earrings and briolette earrings. Leave with at least 2 pairs of earrings – all materials provided.

Polymer Clay Faces: three hours
$50
Sarajane Helm

This session begins with the fundamentals of proportion, scale, and anatomical placement. We will build miniature faces using scrap clay and simple tools. After baking we create molds using amazing mold putty, an RTV silicone molding compound. Pulls from the mold will be manipulated and decorated in many ways. Learn the techniques of "plastic surgery" to create strikingly different face from a single original mold. Using swirl and feathering techniques, filigree, foils, metallic leaf, glitters, paints, stains and inks, and more we will embellish faces both fanciful and realistic. Apply acrylic paints in a variety of fashions that range from childlike innocence to sophisticated vamp.

The details in a face say so much about the character-whether creating a doll, a pendant for jewelry purposes, an icon or a totem or a decorative object for use in frames, mirrors, and other furnishings. Create your own unique faces that can be used to make all these and more, and know that NOBODY will have one just like yours.

Some supplies included.
